Can I have 1 just like it?

So I saw on Crafty Cupboard (which is like my new favorite craft blog) that she had done a new scripture case. I thought it was adorable! I said to myself when I have time I am going to make me one. Well today because of certain circumstances I had some extra time on my hands (one of them being sick kids). So I went through the stuff I had and I came up with this.
I used a pant leg from one of Tyrone's pants, and I found black with white polk-a-dots. I also had some left over pink from Amea's baby set. So I got to work as I was reading on her blog I realized that the tutorial was on Delia Creates. (Which is another great craft blog) I had so much fun doing it. I also got to use my new ruffler that my mom gave me! She is the best! I used it to make the flower I love it!
So whenever I make something Tyrone normally always says can I have one just like it.... so this time I did. I made him one too. We had car seat straps from Ty-kell's old carseat that I used and leftover fabric from recovering the chair, and walah....
I think we are going to look so snazzy at church on Sunday with our new scripture cases!
We will see if Tyrone likes his... He might be a little embarrassed infront of his priest, but I think it looks awesome! I feel like I did a good job manning up a scripture cover!

7.42

So Tyrone and I decided that we were going to do scripture stories at night and read the Book of Mormon in the morning. So I went to a lds book store and bought two gospel art books. It was the best 7.42 I ever spent! ENJOY!
Okay so a couple of weeks ago we had a big snow storm, and the kids were so excited to go out to play! Ty-kell has been asking since October to make a snowman. Unfortunately the snow wasn't the packing type so we didn't get to make a snowman.
The kids had fun playing in it, and of course eating snow... there favorite thing!

Ty-kell had just got me with a snowball he thought he was pretty funny!

This is Amea's atempt to make a snow angel... She wasn't sure about laying down in the snow!

What do ya do?

So a while ago my mom bought Amea some leggins that she found for a great price. She bought a pair of heather gray ones, and she thought they would match the dress she got her, but they were different grays, and it looked funny. So Amea had a pair of jeans that were too short a sweater that had a nasty stain right in the middle and gray leggings that she never wears, because she has nothing that matches.... So what do you do? You add a cute fabric with accents of gray!
But now what do you do with this combination?
You make a cute new outfit! So what I did was cut off the legs to her pants and added two layers of the flower fabric. Now for the sweater I made a flower out of the fabric and her jean legs. Then to complete the full look. I made blue bows.
For a little extra character I added a sewn embellishment on the front.
And buttons on the bum!

I think it turned out pretty cute, and Amea loves her new look. She is a total girl and loves dresses! She was so excited to but it on!

Christmas

Our family loves to have pjs for Christmas Morning so on Christmas Eve we open our pjs. The kids got to open them pretty early beacuse we decided to join my Grandparents, and Cousins for Christmas Eve. We had so much fun. Then we put the kids pjs on before we headed home.

Amea loves Grandpas rocking chair.

Santa brought a rocket for Ty-kell the only thing he asked for.

Santa brought Amea a baby doll that she loves!

Ty-kell got her sister a stroller for Christmas, and she loves it. The baby blanket is part of the gift from my Mom she mad her the cutest diaper bag with matching diapers. She also got a highchair, an adorable fake make-up bag from her Aunt Kimberly, and a phone and a book from her Aunt Brigitta.

Ty-kell and Amea got TV blankets from their Grandma Clayton.... even though they insist on having them on their beds to sleep with. Ty-kell also got some tools from his sister, a glow in the dark football from his cousin ryan, a bag of ABC bean bags from his Aunt Kimberly, an awesome sports center from grandma and grandpa Clayton (well it was for both kids), and some games.

Tyrone and Ty-kell launching his rocket from santa!

Thank you to all who contributed to our children having a wonderful Christmas. They enjoy all of their gifts, and are having fun playing. We miss you all and wish we could have seen you during this holiday season!

Loosing Sight....

So the last couple of months I have been trying to work extra hard and earn extra money so that we can pay off some debt that we have. I know you all know how much of a burden debt can be. Today I asked my mom about a little boys funeral that was yesterday that we knew, and as she told me about it I couldn't help but cry. How could I be so selfish worrying about money, that in a sense I am ingnoring my kids. We only have a few short years with our children and family is sooo important. The last few days my wonderful husband, has been saying to his overly stressed wife..."I am so grateful to have a wife like you who is willing to be a mom!", and I sit there and think "yeah right", but I am not a very good one. Though I have had another of may reality checks. My children are precious to me, and I feel that I am missing so much time to spend with them. So today I am making a goal to stop working at 3 so that I can spend more time with my kids, some quality mommy time! I am so grateful to Heavenly Father for my sweet children, and what they teach me.... I hope that I can keep that perspective, and not forget the hugs along the way!

Halloween Costumes AND New Christmas Clothes

Okay I know I am late posting these costumes. I was remined today that is was a week and still no posting of the halloween costumes. So Ty-kell went as Little Boy Blue not a pioneer. And Amea went as Little Bo Peep. The Saturday before Halloween we went to the zoo's celebration.

The kids were able to go Trick-or-Treating at the zoo, and see some of the animals. My kids love watching the penguins. So we took pictures with the dry penguins. We didn't get many pictures, because the zoo was crazier then Disneyland.

The kids had a ton of fun. I was a little disappointed because we missed the costume contest.

My mom sends money for Christmas clothes each year, and this year I just love their Christmas clothes. I know it is not even december, but I wanted the kids to wear them more then 2 months.

They were being cheeseballs right before church, I guess that is what you get when you get another hour before church!
