A Very Merry UnBirthday!

Saturday we wanted to have a fun day with the kids, and everything that was going on around Idaho seemed like too much money for what was going to be there to do. Then my brilliant husband came up with the idea to have an unbirthday party with the kids. It was so much fun! We started by watching Alice in Wonderland. It was actually the kids quiet time so it was a perfect begining to the party!

Then we made hats from the movie. We made the mad hatter hat for Ty-kell and Amea got the Queen of Hearts crown.

They look pretty cute, and they love there hats!

Then we had a "Tea" Party with hot chocolate. The kids thought this was the best using the little cups and being able to pour out of a little tea cup and milk out of the cream container (I don't know what it is called).

Even Tyrone enjoyed it. We actually laughing so hard because the kids were spilling, and they both were being so danty with their cups.

Then what does every birthday party need.... presents! The kids enjoyed opening there gifts they picked out at the dollar store. Ty-kell picked out number flash cards.

Amea picked out colors and shape flashcards. I was so grateful that they picked out something educational and something we can keep around for a while instead of just throwing out in a day or two. Tyrone got batteries, and I got hand sewing needles. I know we are so spoiled!

Then we did another activity we let the kids decorate container for their chore money. Our children are very modivated by pennies, and so we told them that they could get a penny for every chore that they do. They have to make their bed and clean their room before they get to do any chores for money.

We had foam stickers left over from a project grandma did with the grandkids two Christmases ago. The kids really enjoyed putting the stickers on the containers, and now they have a container for chore money.

And then we had cupcakes after dinner. They were very yummy! If you are wondering that is my version of a cheser cat... did not turn out as I thought, but they work.

As I said we went to the dollar store for our supplies.
So the damage from the day:
4 dollars for the variety of candy for cupcakes
4 dollars for presents
1 dollar for the 2 tupperwares
Everything else we had at home

So our little party cost us 9. 54.
We could have made it a lot cheaper by not doing candy on the cupcakes, but we thought it would be fun. They kids really liked it!
We made out cheaper then anything else we were going to do, and we were able to have som great quality family time.

Introducing.....

Our third child.... And it is a
a GIRL!!!  The picture above is actually her right foot.... I thought it would be a funny joke for those of you who can't tell what you are looking at. I am amazed that at just a young age how much your kids photos look a like. The Top picture looks just like Ty-kell, and Amea did.... you can almost tell that she has a femine look about her.

Enchalada+Tacos=Enchalacos

My Husband told me the other day that I start all my blog posts with "So", so I didn't start this one with "So". My favorite foods are Mexican... my top all time favorite foods are Tacos, and the close second is Enchaladas. When you have two favorites what do you do......? Put them together. It was actually my husbands idea, but it has become one of my favorite dishes. Tacos are still my all time favorite.
These are so easy to make. All you need are the fixing for a taco and enchalada sauce. My favorite combo is:
1 can of corn
1 can of refried beans
1 can of black beans
1 can of olives
1/2 to a 1 pound of Taco Meat
1 large can of Enchalada sauce
1 package of tortillas ( I like the larger ones)
First you pour a good amount of Enchalada sauce on the bottom of your pan, probably until the rounded bottom of the pan is covered. Then you make each taco like you would normally roll it up burrito style, then put it in your pan. Do that until the pan is full, you will have left over ingrediants. You could make a smaller pan or put all the leftovers in the fridge for a lunch of taco and chips (my husband's favorite). Then you pour over Enchalada sauce over the tacos until covered. Then top with cheese, we love cheese at our house so I put it in the taco and on top... mmmmm.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
You can put in your tacos whatever you like. I like to over season my taco meat with the McCormick (I love this stuff) when I make these, because the taco taste can get drowned out with the sauce.

Tyrone's Birthday Overview

So Tyrone was able to take the weekend off of his birthday. He invited the kids to a Birthday Party for him. We had a lot of fun. We made and decorated sugar cookies!

The Kids did a very good job cutting out the cookies!

While we waited for the cookies to bake the kids did a little craft that was only 30 cents at target... Yah clearance.

Ty-kell did a great job so did Amea.

Then they decorated the cookies they had so much fun!
Happy Birthday to the best Man in the world... I am so greatful for his love for his family. We had a wonderful weekend, and I hope that we can do it again next year! Love you honey!

Can I have 1 just like it?

So I saw on Crafty Cupboard (which is like my new favorite craft blog) that she had done a new scripture case. I thought it was adorable! I said to myself when I have time I am going to make me one. Well today because of certain circumstances I had some extra time on my hands (one of them being sick kids). So I went through the stuff I had and I came up with this.
I used a pant leg from one of Tyrone's pants, and I found black with white polk-a-dots. I also had some left over pink from Amea's baby set. So I got to work as I was reading on her blog I realized that the tutorial was on Delia Creates. (Which is another great craft blog) I had so much fun doing it. I also got to use my new ruffler that my mom gave me! She is the best! I used it to make the flower I love it!
So whenever I make something Tyrone normally always says can I have one just like it.... so this time I did. I made him one too. We had car seat straps from Ty-kell's old carseat that I used and leftover fabric from recovering the chair, and walah....
I think we are going to look so snazzy at church on Sunday with our new scripture cases!
We will see if Tyrone likes his... He might be a little embarrassed infront of his priest, but I think it looks awesome! I feel like I did a good job manning up a scripture cover!

7.42

So Tyrone and I decided that we were going to do scripture stories at night and read the Book of Mormon in the morning. So I went to a lds book store and bought two gospel art books. It was the best 7.42 I ever spent! ENJOY!

Okay so a couple of weeks ago we had a big snow storm, and the kids were so excited to go out to play! Ty-kell has been asking since October to make a snowman. Unfortunately the snow wasn't the packing type so we didn't get to make a snowman.
The kids had fun playing in it, and of course eating snow... there favorite thing!

Ty-kell had just got me with a snowball he thought he was pretty funny!

This is Amea's atempt to make a snow angel... She wasn't sure about laying down in the snow!
