Going to School....

"Just like Daddy" So as we are all getting ready to go out for the day. I wander into the front room. I Saw Ty-kell putting the apples in the Halloween bag I made yesterday, and Tyrone's shoes are setting next to him. I ask him what he is doing, after he gets the apples into the bag. He finsihes, and gets his shoes on and says I am going to school just like daddy. And then he says bye honey I love you! I thought that this was so adorable. He wants to be like his dady so much! And I am glad he has a great example. I love you honey!

Goodnight Sweatheart

So Ty-kell has gotten into a rotten habit of not going to bed when it is bedtime. He is tired most of the day and then around 6:30 an hour before bedtime he is wired, and does not go to bed until after 9:30. So it is us putting him back in bed for two hours. His constant I need to go potty, and water please. The two hours goes by fast. Well last night Tyrone and I were getting ready to go to bed and Tyrone went to check on the kids, and he comes in laughing and he says to me you have to come and see this. So we go into the kids room and I didn't see Ty-kell. I looked at Tyrone funny... and he pointed down to this.

My Potty Break

I know whoever is reading this is really interested in my title, but it is true. I find this quit humorous, but others might not. So today was a pretty busy day. I got up got the kids ready, and we went and met grandma at Seminary. Then we went shopping to find uncle Chad a tie for his birthday. We also had to run and get stablizer for the quilt that Aunt Rachel is making for Sophie. So we were in the car most fo the morning. And at about 10:30 I look back and Ty-kell is out. To no avail of waking him up I think oh, well that just means no quite time for mommy. So we got home at about noon. We wanted to do something special on Chad's ties(yes we got more than one we couldn't help ourselves). So after I fed Ty-kell lunch, I went upstairs to do the designing. Oh, and I forgot to mention that my husband came home sick today. So as I was designing my sicky comes in from school. Then I get the design done and my mom and I press them. Then we wanted to take them to chad with some balloons that we got in town, so I fed Amea, and off we went. It took us 2 hours and Chad wasn't even at work he was out to lunch. So then we came home I did a couple puzzles with Ty-kell and started dinner. After dinner when we were done cleaning up I realized I needed to got potty. So I go in and sit down, and think " Wow, it is so nice to sit for a minute and relax". So there you have it I have never understood the phrase potty break because it has always been something that has taken me from what I was doing. But today I adorded that porclien thrown, as I took two minutes to just sit and have me potty break. Oh, the wonderful things in life.

Total Agony

Ty-kell is experiencing totally in agony... his favorite pal deserted him(so he thinks). Actually his dad had to go to stake preisthood meeting, and Ty-kell wanted to go with his daddy. So he had a complete and utter breakdown. Then he fell asleep at the top of the stairs. I will be waking him up in a minute because it is 5 o'clock and he likes to play a little game of not going to bed when it is time. So... sweet dreams Ty-kell.........(just for a minute).

Amea's Eating Rice

So we've started feeding Amea Rice.... This is the first time and as you can see she likes it. We made our own homemade rice. You do this by putting some rice in your blender and blend it up until it is a fine powder. Then you boil a cup of water and add 1/4 of cup of rice. It is pretty think so for young babies you have to add more liquid. Unfortunatly I do not feel that rice cereal this way is good for babies.
When they are older as you can see they love. We are now giving Amea the store bought instant rice cereal and she likes it a lot more and it is much easier to eat. The homemade rice cereal is beady and hard swallow. As soon as we started her on the instant rice her bellies were full and she slept for 12 hours at night. Oh, it was bliss.

Ty-kell enjoying rice cereal with Amea.
Amea all done!

Family Home Evening

So last Monday Ty-kell was incharge of refreshments for Family Home Evening. He wanted to make M's cookies, (or in our words M&M cookies). Ty-kell helped mixed them up, and put in all of the ingredients. And scooped the majority of them all by himself. With a little help from his daddy. They were delious. Ty-kell loves to cook and has become quit a little chef.

Roll-over

Amea is rolling over from her tummy to her back. She has been doing it for about a week, and I have been trying to get a video, but she just wont perform... I guess she is a little camera shy. She is also grabbing at things. She is started becoming interested in food. In the sense that whenever we are eating she is watching us. I think she will be excited when in two weeks we get to start her on rice! Yeah, maybe she will start sleeping through the night all the way! Wahooo!

He has become quite a conversationalist. We love having him around, he definately makes life an adventure. Right now Ty-kell's favorite things are playing with other kids, and watching movies. His favorite movie right now is "monsters" which interperated is Monsters, inc.

I am also amazed at how Ty-kell has grown take a look.

Sleepy Boys

So Ty-kell just woke up from his nap, but he was not quite ready to get up so Tyrone was snuggling with him on our big comfy chair. And I guess it was just too much. What does my husband say " They just suck the life out of me when they are sleeping".

Happy B-Lated Birthday America!

I guess I always get into dressing up for the fourth of July. I love the red, white, and blue. I just love celebrating being free (I am very independent). Ever since I was little I have thrived on being free. So to celebrate we pretty much partied all weekend long. And I made matching outfits for the kids. Yes Ty-kell is wearing a vest and bow-tie. My husband says it is a right of passage as a mom to dress my kids in things that will totally imbarass them, he said his mom put him in a bow-tie and vest, and it was dorky. So here is to my right of passage, and I think they looked so cute at church. How else can you give honor to our great country the with stars and strips.

BIG BOWS!

Okay so I guess I have just been deprived from the girl stuff for so long that I am just loving it! I have painted Amea's toes pink. And she is pretty much wearing a bow every day. This one is pretty big for her head. I wanted to post pictures, because when my sister was pregnant with her last child she said how much big bow just peeved her. But I think they are so cute. Especially on Amea, but I am just a little bias.
Okay so since it has been a long time since I have posted. I just want everyone to know that we love having Amea around. She is such a sweet little baby. And everyone is great!

1,2,3,4,6,8,9,10.....counting!

Ty-kell can offically count all the way to ten all by himself. I think that it is the cutest thing. He gets a little confused, and it ends up something like 1,2,3,4,6,8,9,10...for some reason he doesn't say 5 or 7, but we are working on it. He can also say his alphabet up to G by himself. It is so exciting how big he is getting. He is so much fun with how much he just loves to learn.

The Mormon "VAN"wagon....

Okay, so we have hopped on the banwagon, and we own a minivan. It is kinda funny, because I said I NEVER wanted a minivan. I was going to be an SUV mom. But look at me now. I couldn't help it. Almost 3 years of not having very much.... I just can't see why an SUV would be smarter to buy then a minivan. We got an excellent deal, and it is great condition. The one thing that I am not perticularly fond of is the color. It seems that every car here in the hot state is white. But other then that I love it and Ty-kell loves it becuase he can look out the windows. And what does every van need a mural of your beautiful family on the back... thanks to my wonderfully talented sister. I have the cutest darn mural of my family on the back. And let us not forget that we are a forever family. Thanks Kimberly for all of your talented work. We love it.

This Rocks!

Aimee has been wanting a rocker since Ty-kell was born. Now we are expecting our secound child and her wish finally came true. We actually found the chair at DI for $8.00 and it was in need of a little TLC. So we decided that it was worth it to fix it up. It looks brand new, and Aimee loves it. We had to get new barrings, paint, and fabric to cover the chair. We spent $12 dollars on barrings, $14 dollars on paint, and $12 on fabric. I had some extra wood left over from another project that I used to fix the parts that were just too '80's for my wife. She does not like the '80's style. So we forgot to take a before and after. But this is what the chair looked like before. It didn't have the leg rest, and the side panels were solid wood. Though other than that this is what it looked like.
And this is the finished product. Well almost finished Aimee needs to add on some buttons and ties to hold the cushions down. I re-did the arms and the side panels.I made it so that it looks more stream-line. We decided to paint it black. Aimee loves it! And I am pretty pleased with it myself.

Wednesday Morning

I have a little extra time on my hands in the morning because I have finished all my lectures and just have my finals left HURRAY! It is fun to see what Aimee and Ty-kell do while I am gone. One of the things Ty-kell loves to do is read lots and lots of stories. I decided to pull out the camera and capture the monent. I got one picture before Ty-kell dicovered what I was doing.

He then proceeded to purform for the camera for about thirty secound and then had to come and see how it looked.

What a fun way to spend the morning. We love Ty-kell and the joy he brings to our family. He is such a sweet little boy.

Eggs and Bunnies

The Easter Bunny came to our house last night, and left a wonderful basket for Ty-kell. He was so excited to look through his basket. He got a sticker book, stickers, and chalk for a chalkboard that we have lost all the chalk. The chalkboard we take with us to church so Ty-kell can color. Also the sticker book and the stickers are for church to help Ty-kell stay reverent. Isn't the Easter Bunny the greatest.
And Ty-kell loves it.

We also dyed eggs this week Ty-kell did such a good job, even though some of them ended up really cracked and he looked like an easter egg himself. He had so much fun.
Dying eggs.

Stopping and smelling the flowers...

Yesterday I needed to run to the grocery store for some flour because we were all out. I was in a hurry because Tyrone would be home soon and I needed to make this cake for my Relief Society meeting. Ty-kell is very indepent and he likes to walk around and shop. Well yesterday it was just him and me and I just needed to pick up flour, so I didn't get a cart and let him walk. When we walked in he saw the flowers and he stopped to smell every single one it felt like. And there were a lot. Then we got our flour, and we were headed out when again he stopped to smell the flowers. Everyone standing there thought he was so cute. Then all of the sudden it hit me, really, how often do I not stop to smell the flowers? I am so grateful for Ty-kell and how sweet he is. And how he has reminded me it is more important to stop and smell the flowers, because maybe one day there wont be any flowers.

Ressurection Rolls

They were empty!
Ty-kell wrapping in the cloth with his one hand. He did such a good job.

Putting on the spices.

Dipping it in butter for tenth time probably. He thought it needed to be well oiled.
So I thought my sister's idea for how to teach the Ressurection was such a good idea. I couldn't help but do it. Even though Ty-kell didn't fully understand it was a lot of fun. And they were very delicious. Ty-kell ate three of them.

Fractures and Pneumonia

So about a week and a half ago Tyrone and I decided we were going to go out on a little date. We had gotten through dinner, and headed to walk around a couple of stores just spending time together. Well we noticed that we had missed two calls on our cell phone, and they were both from my dad. Now if any of you know my dad he is not one to call more than once. My husband even knew that and so he started freaking out just a little. My dad had left two messages, and after we listened to them we knew something was wrong. In my mind I was thinking no big deal he fell on something and is going to need a few stitches. Stitches aren't a big deal in my family everyone get them. Little did I know there was no blood envolved. So we called my parents and they said they were on the way to the ER because they think that Ty-kell has broken his arm. Okay I am still thinking no big deal he probably just spranged it or something. So I told them lets just take him to an Urgent Care, because they can do x-rays and it wont be as long of a wait. Because with my child after 1 hour with a doctor he is done. Done to the point of screaming and throwing his body around, and there is no calming him. So I thought a couple hours in Urgent Care would be better then five to seven in ER. So we found out that it was actually a broken arm and he got a splint. They want him to keep his arm in a sling, but the pediatric sling they had was the size of him, so I decided I would just make him one. I think it turn out pretty cute. Then about a week later because of insurance issues we finally got it casted. Then 2 days later we are back in Urgent Care because we know that Ty-kell has pneumonia again. So Tyrone on Saturday took Ty-kell to NextCare Urgent Care while I went to the cannery. When he was all done we were quite flustered because they told him "oh, he just has allergies". So fine, but by night he was running a higher fever then before and sounded aweful. So we took him to a different Urgent Care the one we went to for his arm. We love that Urgent Care so fast and friendly. And then they diagnosed him with Pneumonia. I didn't know that pneumonia could develop in less then 6 hours. So our poor little child has a broken arm and pneumonia.

We all decided to stay home on Sunday and rest!
Ty-kell with his fancy sling and splint.

I told Ty-kell to smile and this is the look I got.

He likes to pose cool!

Ty-kell with his splint!

Ty-kell modeling his bright green cast.

I told him to smile... I think he is gettting better.

I told him to show me his green arm! I think he just realized it's green!
I asked him to show me a smile and he showed me his arm.
So needless to say I don't like NextCare, and I am greatful it is a waterproof cast. Ty-kell's favorite time of day is bathtime, and he can still have bathtime every so often.

One more down!

I am done with one more of the things I need to get done before my little lady comes. I finished her blessing dress last week, and I am very pleased how it turned out! Ok I might be being a little modest I LOVE IT! I think it turned out very close to the picture! Let me know what you think!
