Loosing Sight....

So the last couple of months I have been trying to work extra hard and earn extra money so that we can pay off some debt that we have. I know you all know how much of a burden debt can be. Today I asked my mom about a little boys funeral that was yesterday that we knew, and as she told me about it I couldn't help but cry. How could I be so selfish worrying about money, that in a sense I am ingnoring my kids. We only have a few short years with our children and family is sooo important. The last few days my wonderful husband, has been saying to his overly stressed wife..."I am so grateful to have a wife like you who is willing to be a mom!", and I sit there and think "yeah right", but I am not a very good one. Though I have had another of may reality checks. My children are precious to me, and I feel that I am missing so much time to spend with them. So today I am making a goal to stop working at 3 so that I can spend more time with my kids, some quality mommy time! I am so grateful to Heavenly Father for my sweet children, and what they teach me.... I hope that I can keep that perspective, and not forget the hugs along the way!

Halloween Costumes AND New Christmas Clothes

Okay I know I am late posting these costumes. I was remined today that is was a week and still no posting of the halloween costumes. So Ty-kell went as Little Boy Blue not a pioneer. And Amea went as Little Bo Peep. The Saturday before Halloween we went to the zoo's celebration.

The kids were able to go Trick-or-Treating at the zoo, and see some of the animals. My kids love watching the penguins. So we took pictures with the dry penguins. We didn't get many pictures, because the zoo was crazier then Disneyland.

The kids had a ton of fun. I was a little disappointed because we missed the costume contest.

My mom sends money for Christmas clothes each year, and this year I just love their Christmas clothes. I know it is not even december, but I wanted the kids to wear them more then 2 months.

They were being cheeseballs right before church, I guess that is what you get when you get another hour before church!

Pumpkins

We had so much fun carving pumpkins. We also went to a pumpkin patch about a week ago, and the kids got to pick out there pumpkins. We got all 4 pumpkins for 4 dollars! The kids favorite part was pulling out all the eww. And picking what would be on the pumpkin. Amea kept putting the seeds back in and taking them out, she thought it was funny.

We carved a bat on ameas and Ty-kell's has a ghost.

Halloween Wreath

Okay so my oh so talented sister-in-law Rachel has inspired me to wreaths too. I only wish I had my sister and mom here to make wonderful wreaths with me. So here is what I made.I love how it turned out. So I used a technique I found online. You cut a square then you take a pencil and put it in the middle, and put hot glue on the other end. And stick it on the wreath. If that makes any sense. I had the felt from my friend Cassie, and I spent 2.99 on the wreath and 1.97 for each spool of thread. The candy corns I found at joannes as a paint wooden thing. They were 49 cents but they were on sale for half off so I paid 25 cents so all three cost me 75 cents. So all together it was less than 10!

Happy Anniversery

Happy Anniversery, Happy Anniversery, Happy Aniversery, HHHHAAAAPPY AAniversery! Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy!

On September 14, 2007 I married my best friend in the Mesa Arizona Temple. Anyone who knows us knows that we got married and engaged very quickly. But you know when you meet someone, anyone and right away your best friends. Tyrone was my immediate Best Friend and I was lucky enough to be married to him FOREVER! I get to be with this hansome, sweet, and amazing guy FOREVER. I am so grateful to be married to a man who has helped me to be a better person, and in return I wash his socks. Hehe! In all seriousness, I am more in love with this man I met 4 years ago then the day we got married. I am looking foward to so many more years of Happiness and adventure, because our life sure has been one amazing adventure (even though it has only been 4 years).

HERE IS TO 4 WONDERFUL YEARS COUNTING ONTO FOREVER!

SHATTERED

So this morning as I was working I heard something hit our sliding glass door. I look over my sholder to see what is was, and the door looked funny... at first I thought it was raining. But then I got up to look at the door and our back door is completely shattered. Luckly it was just the outside pain. The poor girl who mows our lawns felt terrible. I think it is kinda funny. But needless to say our door looks like this:

The whole bank door pane looks like this side to side up and down... it is pretty crazy. I have never seen this happen in person. And I didn't know cracking glass sounds like rice crispies.

HELP

HELP... This is Amea's favorite word. She learned it from Tyrone and I. She has not been as vocal as her brother, which leads to more wineing (which gets on Tyrone and mine nerves very fast). So we got into the habit of saying to her do you need help. So now she says help for everything. She can't get to something...HELP... She can't get her seal out of her bed... HELP.... She doesn't want to be taken from the dinner table cause she is not done.... HELP.... She doesn't want to be laid down for bed... HELP... She is about to be put in time out...HELP....

Robot Party!

This is what a robot party looks like. I had so much fun planning this party. Tyrone and I made this robot cake, I found the idea online...I think it turned out so cute. And in Ty-kell's words, "It looks so wonderful mom, I love it". We made hot dogs into screw drivers and wrenches, the veggies were gadgets, the fruity was buttons, and we had a bowl of chex mix that was nuts and bolts. Then the juice was machine oil. Okay isn't so adorable! We didn't get many pictures of Ty-kell opening presents because my Aunt and Uncle had to leave so I had Ty-kell open their gift, and then as I was saying good-bye to them Ty-kell went to town. But thank you so much Seth and Dawnise for the play-doh game and bubbles, Aunt Diane for a card and some "cash", Aunt Sharon and Uncle Don for the finger paints and chalk. It was such a fun time.

Also Thank so Much to Gramma and Papa Clayton!
My mom made this adorable cap for Ty-kell at first we were going to do a Superman Party, but Ty-kell's mind got changed, but I forgot to tell my mom. So she made this awesome double sided cap for him to wear. He still loves it.

Then she sent him this fun idea of a fort kit.... I thought it was awesome, and so did his Dad who had to try it out immediately. On Thrusday we built a fort and let him sleep in it with his flashlight. He loved it. What is included in the fort kit 2 sheets, 1 blanket, 18 clips, rope, waterbottle, and the most important thing a flashlight. Ty-kell has enjoyed having forts built.

Grandma and Grandpa Petty and the Huish Family

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Ty-kell wants to thank his Grandma and Grandpa Petty for the fun sing-a-long robot. He would also like to thank his Aunt Brianna, Uncle Rob, Arianna, Tatianna. Thank you for thinking of him on his birthday. Getting the package in the mail was a highlight of his day. He loves the clothes, and they will be so wonderful in the upcoming fall. The robot was a hit for both Amea and Ty-kell and I know they will both enjoy it a lot. I hope you enjoy the video since you can't be here to see him in person.

1-2-3

We made it through 1....We made it through 2. We are going to make it through 3.

Ty-kell is such a joy to have in our family. We love his constant imagination. He is so funny, he is always saying the funniest things. He is such a sweet boy. The "I love you too, mommy" just melts my heart. This Sunday he was looking for me after church and this is what he said " I found you mommy, I was missing you a lot, I could not see you mommy, you were not there mommy, I love you mommy, so it is okay I found you"

Then I said " You Found Me"

He said "Yes mommy I found you cause I need you!"

I appriciate all the love he has to give, and how patient he is with his sister even when she teases.

Ty-kell's favorite things:

1. Ice Cream (the green kind)

2. Mommy

3. Doggies

What he wanted for his birthday:

1. To fill up his Disneyland jar (He has a jar that we told him if he filled it up we could go to Disneyland)

2. And a doggie!

Unfortunately he wont get either, but he will be getting some fun stuff. From Grandparents and his party this weekend.

WE LOVE YOU TY-KELL

SUMMER UPDATE

So I figured I better do an update on this summer. First of all we have been spending the majority of our time playing in our beautiful GREEN, GREEN, GREEN, grassy backyard. My son who has spent most of his time outside is just in heaven.

Amea gets mad if she doesn't get to go outside. Or if someone leaves she thinks that she gets to go outside. She also absolutely loves to be outside.

This summer we had some fun visitors. They kids loved having their cousins around, and their wonderful Grandparents. I am so grateful for my parents and brother and sisters whom make the effort to come and see us.

I didn't get a lot of pictures because I am not good at remembering the camera. But we enjoyed our time at the zoo, lake, the "beach", and jabbers.

For Saturday before everyone had to leave we decided to have a 4th of July celebration at my Grandparents. This is also another place that we have spent a lot of time. My children love their Great-Grandparents. We enjoy spending a lot of time with them.

We did sparklers, and all the kids loved them.

The line up to watch the fireworks.

We had to do a Repunzel latern for all the Tangled fans in the family.(Mainly Sophie)

After everyone left we decided to join my grandparents in the 4th of July parade in Melba.
It was a lot of fun spending time with my grandparents.

Ty-kell had a lot of fun! He loves those old horns.

Amea also has recieved her Christmas/Birthday Present from her Grandma Petty she wore it Pioneer Sunday. Thank you Grandma Petty for the time and effort you put into making this dress for Amea.

There is a mouse in the HOUSE!

Okay, so about 3 weeks ago Ty-kell woke up and came into our room and informed us that there was a mouse on him last night. Well about two days ago I was playing in the kids room with them, and Ty-kell told me to lay down. So I layed down and looked up and I saw something brown in their vent. So I got up to look at it closer, and it was fuzy. Yes, there was a mouse in the vent. AHHHHHHHH! I was afficially freaked out!

Ty-kell Rendition

This is how Ty-kell verse of Book of Mormon Stories the verse about Samuel the Lamanite:
"Sam Ell the Lamnite on city WALL"
"Arrows could not hit him cause he he jumped down the wall"
"Jesus protect him"
"Then said Leave us Alone"
We thought it was a very cute rendition.

Kidney Stones or Child Birth?

I would have to say Child Birth hands down is so much better! At least at the end of child birth you get something beautiful to be a credit to all the pain and hard work. Kidney stones... very painful that you never get a breather and man I felt like I was going to die. So I would say Child Birth is better, but I would say they are about the same in pain levels.

P-A-R-T-Y!

Amea had a wonderful time at her party. She was a little unsure of all the people there. But she loved opening all the presents.

She wasn't sure what to do with the cake, but if you listen after we are all done singing Happy Birthday... She says Happ Boo... It was so cute.

Thank You:

Heather and Family: For the adorable headband and balloon.

Diane: Gift card to walmart... she loves to shop.

Emily, Andy, and Girls: For the so cute little outfits.

Book of Mormon Stories

So we have been going through the stories in the Book of Mormon with Ty-kell. Last night he asked me to tell him the "pear story". So as I started telling Lehi's dream this is how our conversation went.

Me "There was a man named Lehi, and he had a dream. And in the dream their was a tree. And on the tree there was..."
Ty-kell "Pears, and they ate them."
Me "Yes, and the Pears were..."
Ty-kell "White and they make you happy."
Me " That's right Ty-kell"
Ty-kell "Then the bad guy ate the fruit and had to leave, cause the girl did it too."
Me " What?"
Ty-kell "The girl Eve was naughty and she ate the fruit, and Adam was a bad guy and ate the fruit"
Me "Well, Adam was not a bad guy he just ate the fruit Heavenly Father and Jesus asked him not to."
Ty-kell " Mommy he ate the pears?"
Me "No, he ate the fruit of the tree of good and evil. The pears are good to eat they represent God's Love."
Ty-kell " Oh, and then there was a bad guy Sam..."
Me "Sam?" "Oh, do you mean Satan?"
Ty-kell " Yes, Satan and he was a bad guy and he cuts off my arms."
Me " Satan is not a good guy, but it was Satan who cut off arms it was Ammon and he cut of the arms of the Lamanites for stealing his sheep."
Ty-kell " Then Adam ate the fruit and Eve ate the fruit, and they were naughty.
Me " Yes, Ty-kell it is time for bed. Go to sleep."
Ty-kell "Mommy, there was a good guy and his name is Jesus, and the bad guy Satan."
Me "Yes, Ty-kell good night.
I hope that I got it straightened out for him... I thought it was funny that he thought Satan was going to cut off his arms.

Finally Finished

The Entertainment Center is DONE! Well, pretty much... I just need to finish decorating. I need some really cute baskets for my DVD's. And I haven't decided what to do with all of the space. I really feel that my living room is all put together. I am in love with my living room.

This is our cute chocolate brown sofa. I just hung up the pictures on the wall. The middle frame had forrest green ribbon on it, but it didn't match. So I found this blue ribbon. It is the perfect color. It is the exact blue on my pillow.

The couch had these ugly pillows, so I recovered them in this adorable fabric. I used the back of the pillow is the same as the couch.

So here is the next project to finish. Notice the wonderful folding chairs. We have six wooden ones. We are working on sanding them down. And I am going to paint them red. I am going to paint them cherry red.

This is the center piece on my table. I am not in love with it.... It needs something else. Something different. I want to use what I have. Any ideas? I would love to here them.

Summer Beauty Pagent

First, we are starting in the Baby Beauty division. Here we have Amea Tasi Petty. She loves to go on adventures, play with her big brother, and eat as much food as she can. She hopes one day that she can do everything her brother can. Amea is sporting beautiful summer shorts that her wonderful Grandma gave her. So cute. Please give a hand for Amea.

Second we have the Tiny Tots Division. Here on the stage is Ty-kell Young Petty. He has a sporting personality and he loves to play outside, with his little sister, and likes being the boss. He hopes one day that he can be just like his daddy. Ty-kell is wearing awesome shorts that give him that just now summer look, and he wants to give a big thanks to his wonderful Grandma for the cool summer look. Give it up for Ty-kell.

I think they both deserve Grand Supreme!

Post Just For My Sister

I know others are going to open this post just by pure curiosity, and that is okay go ahead and read. Though, this post mainly has to do with things for my sister.

So this is just for you... I hope you enjoy! First our family took your challenge to plant something we decided to build a planter box, and plant some vegtables. I know you can tell that my husband, built it! It is nice and sturdy and big. He learned from our Dad. We don't have a fence around our backyard and we share with our neighbors. So I told Tyrone I feel a little White Trailor Trash with this huge planter box on our back porch. Though I know we will enjoy the fruits of our labor. The box cost us about 50 dollars. We got the wood on sale, because someone bought it and returned it. It was a lucky find. Then we got some dirt at wal-mart. And we got the seeds at Fred Meyers. They were having a half off sale! By the way we have a ton of wood left over. We planted some green beans, zucchini, carrots, and three tomato plants. Let's see what happens. OH, and some marigolds to help with the bugs. By the way I DO NOT LIKE marigolds. But they help.

Second,

This is no pressure! ;) But Boise is beautiful in June! I am just saying. And Ty-kell misses you!

Coloring Easter Eggs

Yesterday we decided that it was going to be our egg decorating day.Getting all ready... As you can see the kids were more interested in getting started then posing for a picture for Mommy.Amea was totally into coloring eggs. She kept wanting to put the already done eggs in the cups again.Ty-kell loved it too. He did such a great job and he as able to do most of it all by himself this year. He was pretty proud of himself. This is two of Ty-kell's eggs that he didn't make into dinosaurs.

Check out how good Amea is at doing this.... A couple of cracked eggs.

Here are Ty-kell's dinosaurs.

And chillackson with daddy after a hard moment of egg dippin.
