2 Amea

AMEA TASI PETTY was born May 14, 2010. Today she turns two years old. I really can't believe how fast her life has gone by. She has been such a joy in our family.

She was a very sweet baby.

She has always been a very happy child.

She also always wanted to be grown up and just like her brother.
Her favorite things at 2
1. Playing Babies
2. Snuggling
3. Playing with brother
4. Being outside

On Saturday we celebrated her birthday. This year I decided that we are just going to do family birthday's this year because this is a really busy year. So we went to Wahooz and played a few games, we also went to the park.

After we got home Amea got her Birthday present and she was so excited.

She loves her "bike" and loves to try to ride it. We will definately be spending time learning to ride.

Pancake Art

On Sunday the kids wanted to do an activity, and so I looked online to see if I could come up with something and I saw on Pinterest 50 activities to do with toddlers, and on it one of them is flour piping. Well we decided to do Pancake pipeing. First you mix up your pancake batter, and then pour it into baggies. Add food coloring.

Let the kids squish it and mix it up until it is mixed to a solid color.

Then the pancake batter will look like this. Tyrone had the idea to let them do it right onto a skillet so that they could cook it up right away. You cut off a corner, and let them go at it.

Tyrone heated up the pan and when it was ready we placed it infront of them on a hot pad and helped them so that they would burn themselves.

Amea had fun flinging it around, but it turned out really fun.

This is Amea's pancake all done.

This is Ty-kell's pancake all done.

Ty-kell and Amea enjoying their pancakes. They thought it was so fun, and are asking to do it again. An art project you can eat... how fun. Next time I think we will make a couple of colors, so that it is a little more artsy.

Catching a fish

On Saturday before our party Ty-kell and his Daddy went fishing, and this very nice man there let Ty-kell reel in a fish and keep it. Ty-kell was so excited they cooked it up on Sunday and ate. Both of the kids watched their Daddy clean it and sacrifice fillet it and then they both ate it. Ty-kell could hardly wait to eat it. All three of them enjoyed his little fish. (Mommy was told to stay out of the kitchen, and I was HAPPY to comply)

Cinco De Mayo

So when we were planning our week last week we decided to have a Cinco de Mayo party. Tyrone really wanted to have Nachos, it has been a while since we have had Nachos. We invited some people over, and they all said yes. We were so excited. Then we had this fun idea to make our own pinata. If you can't tell what they are they are miracacas.

The kids had so much fun trying to break it. It took awhile for them to break it open.

This is Paige Raybon, she had quite a little swing. She did a good job and was the first one to break it open. I wish I had gotten a better picture of her and her brother Carter.

Ty-kell was a little crazy on his swing he was all over the place, luckily no one was hit.
My cousin Beaux and Raynie and their little boy Beauxdarin came over as well as the Raybons. We had so much fun. I am sad I didn't get more pictures. We also made some paper flowers. The kids had fun playing together, and the adults were able to get in a game in too. We invited Seth and Dawnise, but Dawnise had a meeting and then they were not able to make it we miss them at our party.

Cotton Candy

On Saturday we went to the temple, and because the Boise Temple is under construction that means for us the closest temple is Twin Falls. It was nice to go on a nice drive just Tyrone and I. Our ward actually set it up, even though it was only two couples. Tyrone and I and a couple in our ward (the Olsons). It was fun to get to know them. Bro Olson is the High Priest Group so he was the one that set it up. After we enjoyed a wonderful session at the Temple the Olsons treated us to dinner. They took us to Golden Corral. This was a really awesome Golden Corral. We used to go to Golden Corral when I was a little kid, but as an adult I had given up on it. The Golden Corrals in Arizona are pretty sad. Anyways at this one they had Cotton Candy. I thought it would be fun to bring it home to the kids, and let them experience it for the first time. It was too late at night when we got home, so they got some first thing Sunday morning. At first they thought we were crazy. Telling them that this puffy thing that looks like a cotton ball is okay to eat.
This is them first trying it.

This is their second try... they thought it was interesting and only had a few bites.
It was fun to watch them experience the many wonders of being a kid. So here is too blue cotton candy on sunday morning.
