1,2,3,4,6,8,9,10.....counting!

Ty-kell can offically count all the way to ten all by himself. I think that it is the cutest thing. He gets a little confused, and it ends up something like 1,2,3,4,6,8,9,10...for some reason he doesn't say 5 or 7, but we are working on it. He can also say his alphabet up to G by himself. It is so exciting how big he is getting. He is so much fun with how much he just loves to learn.

The Mormon "VAN"wagon....

Okay, so we have hopped on the banwagon, and we own a minivan. It is kinda funny, because I said I NEVER wanted a minivan. I was going to be an SUV mom. But look at me now. I couldn't help it. Almost 3 years of not having very much.... I just can't see why an SUV would be smarter to buy then a minivan. We got an excellent deal, and it is great condition. The one thing that I am not perticularly fond of is the color. It seems that every car here in the hot state is white. But other then that I love it and Ty-kell loves it becuase he can look out the windows. And what does every van need a mural of your beautiful family on the back... thanks to my wonderfully talented sister. I have the cutest darn mural of my family on the back. And let us not forget that we are a forever family. Thanks Kimberly for all of your talented work. We love it.

This Rocks!

Aimee has been wanting a rocker since Ty-kell was born. Now we are expecting our secound child and her wish finally came true. We actually found the chair at DI for $8.00 and it was in need of a little TLC. So we decided that it was worth it to fix it up. It looks brand new, and Aimee loves it. We had to get new barrings, paint, and fabric to cover the chair. We spent $12 dollars on barrings, $14 dollars on paint, and $12 on fabric. I had some extra wood left over from another project that I used to fix the parts that were just too '80's for my wife. She does not like the '80's style. So we forgot to take a before and after. But this is what the chair looked like before. It didn't have the leg rest, and the side panels were solid wood. Though other than that this is what it looked like.
And this is the finished product. Well almost finished Aimee needs to add on some buttons and ties to hold the cushions down. I re-did the arms and the side panels.I made it so that it looks more stream-line. We decided to paint it black. Aimee loves it! And I am pretty pleased with it myself.
