Pancake Art

On Sunday the kids wanted to do an activity, and so I looked online to see if I could come up with something and I saw on Pinterest 50 activities to do with toddlers, and on it one of them is flour piping. Well we decided to do Pancake pipeing. First you mix up your pancake batter, and then pour it into baggies. Add food coloring.

Let the kids squish it and mix it up until it is mixed to a solid color.

Then the pancake batter will look like this. Tyrone had the idea to let them do it right onto a skillet so that they could cook it up right away. You cut off a corner, and let them go at it.

Tyrone heated up the pan and when it was ready we placed it infront of them on a hot pad and helped them so that they would burn themselves.

Amea had fun flinging it around, but it turned out really fun.

This is Amea's pancake all done.

This is Ty-kell's pancake all done.

Ty-kell and Amea enjoying their pancakes. They thought it was so fun, and are asking to do it again. An art project you can eat... how fun. Next time I think we will make a couple of colors, so that it is a little more artsy.
